Hyundai car will become the first American luxury car to get a plug-in hybrid version. According to Hyundai, this will be the first time a Hyundai brand will offer a hybrid version of its luxury car portfolio. The carmaker claims the 2019 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid will bring the technology to the global market for the first time and the first time in the US. It will be powered by a lithium-ion battery and an electric motor on both the front and rear axles.
